🔨School Modernization Meeting #2 of 3

Join us for an important discussion with DMUSD on the Carmel Del Mar School Modernization on Monday, February 3rd at 6:00pm in the MUR.
Your voice matters! The upcoming meeting will focus on the critical topic of modernizing CDM’s School facilities. These discussions play a key role in how funds are allocated across our district’s schools as well as an opportunity to brainstorm the areas on campus in greatest need of improvement. This is your opportunity to advocate for our school’s needs and ensure our students have the environment that will allow our students to continue to grow and thrive. Don’t miss this chance to make a difference!

There are three community design meetings; you are welcome to attend any or all of these meetings. The first community design meeting for the Carmel Del Mar School Modernization project was held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. District staff and members of the DLR Group architect team shared initial information on the project and gathered input from the community on what goals and needs the community sees for the modernization. The District team, along with DLR Group, will be working with site staff to get input from staff and students during the design process, and this first input meeting allowed the community to provide information that will allow our architects to develop plans and ideas.
The second community meeting focused on facts and needs will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, and a final community meeting focused on concepts and solutions will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. We look forward to working with the Carmel Del Mar School community to develop a design plan that will both address necessary infrastructure improvements, as well as meet as many of the needs and desires of the students, staff, and community as is possible.
